mesopredators

The food chain once had apex predators like lions and bears at the very top. But humans have posed a great risk to apex predators by breaking up their habitats and hunting them down to near extinction. This has affected thousands of ecosystems. Native creatures have been going extinct. In Yellowstone National Park, wolves were being killed and once they finally killed all the wolves, coyotes started to thrive like crazy. The coyotes ate all the rabbits and rats and left no food for the other predators. Fortunately, wolves were finally reintroduced. The whole ecosystem was under control again. Due to the rise of mesopredators, many ecosystems have been completely changed or destroyed. Also, the other native animals are going extinct because of the rise of mesopredators. So, in short, if mesopredators continue to rise to the top charts, ecosystems will be destroyed and thousands of other native species will go extinct. It’s time to fix back those ecosystems. It’s time to reintroduce the apex predators to the ecosystems. We have to stop hunting down apex predators. By doing this not only are we saving apex predators, but we are also saving multiple ecosystems and other native species.
