You have probably walked into a pet store and have seen a sick animal in the pet store and you might have wanted to take it and nurse it back to health. But that may not be the best idea. I am going to share with you what to do if you see sick animals in the pet store. Well, if you see an animal that is being neglected at a pet store, your first step would be to inform the management and tell them that the animal’s condition is terrible and they have to change and/or treat it better. Give them a week to change the animal’s enclosure or make its health better. If you still don’t see any changes that have been done to the animal’s enclosure and/or the animal itself then you have to go to your next step. Your next step would be to contact the corporate office of the business if they have one. A lot of stores have a customer support line that you can call and report animal health issues. And that should be your next step, again give them a week to change the enclosure. Many retail stores will call you if you have told them that there are issues with the animal’s health, and they will probably tell you the changes they’re going to make. But if you see that they still haven’t changed the enclosure, I would suggest taking it to the next level. Take pictures of neglected animals and post them on social media to get the word out there. Spread the message that they are neglecting their animals. You can also rate their company on google ratings. If they see a lot of negative messages, they will probably improve the animal’s enclosure to make sure their business becomes popular. Of course, not all pet stores will neglect their pets. It depends on how experienced the pet care team is. Some pet stores take good care of the animals they sell, and some don’t care about the animals and just want the money. Again, if you see sick animals at the pet store don’t buy them to nurse them back to health. Sure, it may save that animal but this will make the pet store think that you like those bad conditions that the animals are kept in and the other animal will be kept in the same type of enclosure and will suffer and then die. We should build a world where all the pet stores take very good care of their animals and treat them well until they get sold and go to their permanent homes.
