wildfire of the amazon

The amazon rainforest is home to thousands of plants, animals, and tribes of humans.  80% of the food we eat comes from amazon.  The amazon rainforest is spread across 9 different countries, covering most of its part in Brazil. Sadly, the amazon rainforest falls prey to wildfires every year.  The amazon rainforest is referred to as the lungs of Earth. It absorbs a large amount of Earth’s of Carbon-di-Oxide and releases oxygen. It produces more than 20% of the world’s oxygen. And according to the recent reports from NASA, this year seems worse than ever as the rainforest is burning at an alarming rate. Also, reports from the I.N.P.E have said there have been more than 72,000 first since January 2019. But, what’s the reason behind it? So, we all know that the Amazon is known for its climatic conditions that are suitable for farming, and clearing out land for farming deforestation is caused at an alarming rate. It can be done by logging off trees, cattle ranching, or worst, burning down trees that are natural gifts ultimately resulting in a wildfire that reportedly was increasing in number every year. And according to the Brazilian government, around 7900 square kilometers of the Amazon rainforest have been cleared so far in the name of development. Therefore, the reason for this widespread fire is “US” humans. If we continue to harm the environment, it will leave a massive impact on our health and ecological balance. Also, thousands of plants and animals would become extinct. A large amount of the human population will be wiped out too and if we are not there, cats and dogs, and other pets will die because they will not have food or water. Many wild animals will die because there is no wildlife agenices to rescue them when they are injured or sick.  We need to start protecting the Amazon rainforest at any cost.
