The cruelty of air conditioning

Ac’s have helped save thousands of humans and animals and have made living in hot places much cooler. But here is a fact, Ac’s are harmful to the environment and animals. Ac’s cools the building by removing hot air from the building and releasing it to the outside. This makes the outside environment much hotter. As humans, we can stay cool indoors. But animals outside cannot and they die because of the scorching heat. They do not get any water and their skin bleeds due to the heat. Plants are also affected by this. Also, when we dump our old Ac’s, they release a gas called refrigerants that can trap heat from the sun even more efficiently than Co2. These gases are thousands of times more efficient at trapping the Earth’s heat on top of the Co2 that is already trapping heat.  The warmer our countries get the more Ac’s we use and the more Ac’s we use the warmer our countries become. This will be a continuous cycle. We need to stop using Ac’s so that we can protect animals and the environment. These are a few steps we can follow to stop using Ac.

1.      We need to build transparent roofs.

2.      We need to mostly use fans until it gets too hot.

3.      We need to use walls that absorb heat and do not let heat inside.

4.      We also need to plant a lot of trees in our city.

5.      When we get rid of our old air conditioners, we’ll need to destroy or recycle their refrigerants.
