Avian Influenza_ infected birds

We have found the vaccine for polio, malaria, and a lot of other diseases. And that’s amazing because we’re saving hundreds and thousands of people. Smallpox has even been wiped off the face of the planet. It’s crazy how much our technology has become more advanced so we can live more joyous and longer lives. But we are not helping others we could help. Not a single animal disease has been wiped off the planet. Human diseases are taken a lot more seriously than animal diseases. And because of this idiotic carelessness, a virus has been able to thrive and prosper. It’s avian influenza or as most people call it bird flu. Today as I tell you, thousands of birds are dying globally. When I go out for walks, I see pigeons infected with bird flu having a slow and painful death. And nobody yet is giving a damn about it.

We are giving our best to eradicate polio. We say it’s vital to wipe this disease out, which is 100% true. They say children are being paralyzed and we need to stop this. I just have one counterargument. What is the difference between a child’s and a bird’s life?  Birds also have feelings, they feel pain, and they feel happiness. And just people don’t seem to realize that for some reason. It makes me furious. Just last year, bird flu cases started to grow in my area as if there was no end. And a lot of people were saying if you eat chicken be careful, cook chicken at a very high temperature. Hello, you are killing a suffering chicken with a knife! What in this universe could be worse?!  You’re not even euthanizing it, and why will you even euthanize it?

You can vaccinate it, but farms are not doing that. Don’t even eat meat, turn a farm into a sanctuary or something!  I myself am a bird owner, and I am terrified. There are a lot of bird shelters and owners who are very concerned. So, they’re already starting to vaccinate their pet birds. That’s great. If you’re willing to bear the cost to save a life, I have no words to describe how kind you are. I also plan to get my birds vaccinated asap. Bird flu is not going to be easy to tackle but we have beaten many viruses in our history, even though we’ve not eliminated some of them. We have been able to tackle viruses like Covid, smallpox, cowpox, etc. I believe that if scientists prioritize taking out this disease, and nations all around the world fund the fight against bird flu, one day we will have a bird flu-free world.
